Yes. It's been discussed in threads here and on many other cigar boards.

Just know of only a few people who have made that conversion on cigar boards, the vast majority that I know of picked it up cold. On another tangent, I hate to have a cigar next to cigarette smokers, their flue-cured crap obliterates the aroma and great flavor that my cigars give off. Check out my thread on ruined cigar smoking experiences for my little rant about that.

I used to smoke cigarettes a LONG time ago (over 16 yrs now), and just started picking up cigars these past few years. I don't view them as remotely the same... (I don't inhale, they don't taste the same and I like the smell of a good cigar on my clothes afterwards).

I'd wager that the number of people who do both is rather small, though I do have a brother in law in Chicago who smokes both. I just got done sending him a bomb today of some sticks that I think he'll like.

I stopped smoking cold turkey about 6 months ago. And after a month of not having had a smoke I treated myself out to a cigar. And I have to agree with ggiese, it's not the same at all. I don't inhale, EVER, and I love the smell. And I don't even smoke one every day......
