Amusing Caliber III Hygrometer instructions

So being new to this I just picked up my first digital hygrometer and decided to go with the Caliber III because from what I read online it's supposed to be top notch. At least, so say all the reviews on Amazon.

Anyways the warning in the instructions booklet was pretty funny. The part I'm referring to is towards the bottom where it talks about testing it's accuracy.

Yep... good quality hygro.


I would wrap it in a damp paper towel and place it in the microwave for 5 minutes.. If it reads blank and melty, it's properly calibrated for monitoring the inside of your garbage can!


Seriously though.. I have two of them, I used the Boveda calibration kit on both, and both were dead-nuts accurate!
