You're assuming I am a recreational diver. I am not, though I am studying my ass off on PADIs website during my recently started certification course.

In real life, I do have 100% confidence in what I am doing. Mostly because I am good at what I do (Hockey and Lacrosse goalie), I am not holding myself with confidence on this forum because, well, how could I? I had not yet apologized because I was waiting for the strings of conversation in this thread to die down before apologizing. I had put myself in your shoes. I had looked through my posts to see what I had done that was disrespectful, or rude, but I did not come up with much. Maybe when I get old and start slowing down I'll see it differently, but right now I don't see what was disrespectful.

Unfortunately, despite the kindness received from some members, I feel that this is not the place for me. You were right. I don't fit in. Maybe I should try puff.com, I probably wont though.

This time, I'm actually leaving.

You should be proud of yourselves. Maybe your wives will make you a sammich.

I'm off to a hockey game, have fun with your forum.

Edit: I root for the CWS above any other baseball team.

Well our dear friend Fark sent me a PM, and I thought I would share it but decided not to because I thought I should help him.

Smoking cigars is a Zen like experience. You have to find your own path, and it cannot be walked for you. Since you're not getting the subtle hint I'll spell it out for you. I'm giving you a bad time because of three reasons:

1. You singled yourself out, also known as "skylining". You sounded like Oliver Twist when he asks, "Please sir, may I have some more?", when you said you didn't want to be treated rough like the other rocket scientists on the "grad smoke" post or the "Cuban cigars" post. Next time just send out those really nice RSVP notes with the gold lettering .... those are really pretty.

2. You were told several times to do the following:

Read more.
Post less.
Use the search function.

You didn't read much because if you had you would know that the phrase "on deck" that's being used on here for the Newbie Sampler thread is in reference to who is next to receive the Newbie Sampler. This way you can get an idea of what you want to try, and then you try it. You didn't use the search function because you would have found the review section. And we won't get into the "Post less" portion because that was an epic failure.

3. I'm a former active duty Marine. I'm a prick because they made me that way. Of course it doesn't help when simple instructions or advice is given (see #2) and not followed, so at that point the backlash you experienced is typical because it gives the appearance you don't want to do the heavy lifting, man up, and smoke a really good stick.

I spent the better part of two weeks (one with my account, and one just checking out cigar reviews) going over the info here. There is alot to learn if you open your eyes and ears, and shut your mouth (see #2 again).

So if you really want to learn something here ..... read the reviews, find a good smoke, and enjoy it. Sometimes you'll get one you won't like, and it happens to all of us.

Oh and man up, will ya? You got skin like rice paper.
