Although I'm still a newbie here, I thought I would give my impression of this stick. First a little history, I was at a club one night and got to talking to another cigar guy. I made him a gift of a Don Kiki Red Label Churchill and he gave me one of his Quorum Churchill's. The band says it's a handmade Nicaraguan. I brought it home and put it in my humidor. Two weeks later, (tonight to be exact as I just got through with it), it got fired.
While I was smokeing, I did some searches here about the Quorum. Mostly old posts but it varied as usual. Some liked them and some didn't but the consensus for 1-2 dollar range it was a ok gar for work or yard or something along those lines.
When I started, it was a easy light with a nice draw and lots of smoke. It had a slow, cool, even burn, creamy but really with no hints of any spices. It had a tight layered ash, not powdery, and I never could get it no more than 1-1 1/4 before it would fall. The first time was unexpected and I was standing at the time. The ash fell 5 feet to the floor and remained intact even with me picking it up.
I think I would call this a mild-medium with the medium around the beginning of the last third of it. I actually liked it. Oh btw, I nubbed it.
So how did I do for my first review? Yes/ No
