    Default Upgrade to vBulletin 4.0

Hey guys, I'm currently working on getting us all upgraded to vBulletin 4.0. I ran into some snags along the way, and probably won’t get to finish everything tonight. I'll have as much as possible done before bed, but some things might wait till tomorrow (as far as layout / color scheme go).

    Thanks for being patient!

Well I got a lot more done then I thought I would when I posted this thread. I fixed broken links, fixed several issues with the server, upgraded php and mysql on the server, and got things stable.

Besides the hideous layout/color scheme the site should be mostly functional. I'll start working on the interface tomorrow morning. Please comment here if you notice anything broken.

    Thanks guys!

First thing I thought when I logged on "Holy shit wtf happened to my smokers" good gosh I am glad to see it won't be permanent. Thanks Hex.

It looks like the "find all posts" button on a members profile only returns posts made since the upgrade.

Lookin good so far, I kinda like the color scheme...though the green background of the site dosen't mesh well.

Thanks for doing the upgrade, I know it isn't a small matter.

It looks like the "Latest Reputation Received" images are not being found.

Thanks for taking the time to update the site - I know how much of a pain that can be.

It's on the member's profile page, on the left.

I a trying this now using the mobile format on my iPod. Seems to work good, but I see no link that bumps a person to the top of the screen.

    Do ipod touches have scrollbars?

I wonder if Safari for the touch has problems with anchor tags. I looked at the HTML markup for the #top anchor and it looks right too me. I guess the mobile style dosn't have a #top link at the bottom, I'll see if I can add a link to that at some point.

Yeah the touch does not technically have a scroll bar. It requires that you swipe your finger on the screen to scroll. It takes several seconds to get to the top of the thread by doing it that way. If you could add the link that would be nice. Thanks. Roger.

By the way, if you send me the "Icons" I could alter the color of them on Adobe Illustrator if you think that would work. If so just pm me. Thanks.

I zipped up the status icons and placed them here: http://www.cigarsmokers.com/images/statusicon.zip you really don't need to worry about the red "hot" ones, since I've disabled the hot thread fuctionality in vbulletin

I added a Top link to the footer of the Mobile style for authenticated users.

I know this was posted a while ago, but with the ipod touch all you need to do to get to the top of any page is tap the topmost toolbar (where the time/batt meter is) and it scrolls all the way to the top. No need for scrolling thru it all. Hope this helps.
