Default You Get What You Pay For... Usually

    Hello BOTL,

My local B&M has a $2.00, $3.00 and sometimes a $4.00 dollar "bin" with various smokes thrown in.
Sometimes I find some good stuff in them... Oliva, RP, Ashton., La Aurora... etc etc. Even in the 2 buck bin. However, about 50% of the smokes are a little dry. I have to make sure to remember to let them sit in the humi for some time. The old saying in the title is true... usually.

I don't mind letting them sit for a while when paying 2 bucks for a Oliva G robusto.

Do you guys have grab basket bins at your local B&M? If so are the smokes always in good shape?

    Default I only wish

The closest thing I have is a discount cigarette store with a small walk in humidor. The owner – operator, I can’t recall his name, so for conversation sake let’s call him “Punjabi" follows you around like a third rate detective to make sure you don’t steal his over priced smokes.

I do frequent the bargain bins at my local shop. I also got some killer deals the last of December when the owner was trying to liquidate some stuff before inventory time.

What shop in Memphis do you frequent. I go to The Tobacco Corner and Tinderbox Wolfchase when I'm there.

I remember having to go to discount cigarette stores. And I remember getting screamed at by the nice little chinese guy who owned the place when my dad and I tried to walk in the humi together, apparently if two people go in the place will blow up or something. Needless to say my dad gave him a few kind words on how to, or not to, run a business and we never went back. Good times.

Yes both of them...personally I think the Tobacco Corner is higher priced but has a bigger selection. One little small tobacco place on Whitten Rd.(they have a small walk in) & a discount tobacco place at Covington Pike & Austin Peay, (they just have a big wall humidor)

No bargain bins at the shops I go to, but one shop not too far away always has a "Manager's Picks" deal with 3 decent sticks for roughly the price of 2. Not a bad buy usually

No discount bins here either. Between the no smoking inside and the taxes so damn high I hardly ever buy locally.
