Default Alec Bradley Pryme ~ 200X

    ashauler's review

Smoke: Alec Bradley Pryme ~ 200X
    Drink: Yuengling Porter
    Tunes: None

    Wrapper: Ecuadorian
    Binder: Nicaragua
    Filler: Nicaragua
    Draw: Medium to tight draw
    Burn: Burned very good
    Misc: 90+min

Pre-light: Cedar wrapped with gold band at foot. Colorful and detailed band. Medium brown wrapper and excellent construction. Cedar and tobacco scent. Mild sweet tobacco on prelight flavor.

Light: Medium to easy. Medium to tight draw.

1st 3rd: Full body. Strong tobacco flavors. Spice like pepper. Leather tastes on draw. Full flavor. Oily and some bitter notes mixed in. Altogether a pretty impressive balance. Tobacco flavors mellowing into a sweetness in the first 3rd and overtaking the spicy.

Ash: Scaly, medium gray with dark gray waves (pretty cool looking) Hold for 1 ˝”

2nd 3rd: Got a crack around the wrapper at the base of the band. Doesn’t seem to be affecting the flavors or draw. Nice rich semi-sweet tobacco with some leather and oily slightly bitter aftertaste. Has mellowed a bit and is more creamy now.

3rd 3rd: More hot and bitter now, but not overpowering by any stretch. The sweetness and creamy have died out now. I think the first 3rds are really the showcase for this individual cigar. Very nice nonetheless.

Overall impression: Good stuff. I should poke around for some more, but I see a lot of places are sold out now.

Thank you to an unnamed, generous BOTL here.

    Great review Will! Thanks.

I really enjoyed the two Alec Bradleys I have smoked which are 1) Vice Press and 2) Maxx.
I was impressed especially with vice press. I will have to try this Alec Bradley Pryme ~ 200X.

I remember these - a box split about a year ago or so. Good stuff. I remember them smoking for a really long time - deceptive from their size.

Nice review Will. I was digging around in the cooler tonight and saw one of these (forgot I had it) and am smoking it right now. Very nice indeed.
