Default Buy me this, ill send you that-- feeler

hey guys i havent really posted here, in fact i think this may only be my 2nd post, and i know that you guys dont usually do this kind of thing with new posters... but im willing to send my part of the bargain first and upon your approval of the package, you can then send me my part...

    Here is what I want:
4 5packs of these El Rey Del Mundo Oscuro Rubosto Larga Cigars - With the FREE 15 Travel Humi

    http://www.jrcigars.com/index.cfm?pa...temcode=RMROL5

-normally I would want the box but with the free humi ill just pass up the box and throw them in an old box in my cool-a-dor
-This should work out to $79.50 + Shipping (which I assume couldnt be more than $6) so approx $86.00

-NOW for my end, I have a decent assortment of higher end sticks, Im currently at my parents house but in about a week or so Ill be back at my apartment in Philly (Im a student at St. Joes Univ), and I can give you a full list of what im willing to part with... But one of the major things that I would like to include in this trade are some opus x's... I bought a bunch at a local b&m and while I do love them, In this case I want to go for quantity over quality... I bought one of those opus x 3 cigar tins kinda like the one in the link below, I forget what size they are but if I remember correctly they were the perfecxion's (or whatever the biggest size is for those tins)... I opened the celo wrap on the tin to look at the sticks but havent touched it since and they are resting in one of my humis since this may... I also have a couple opus singles, some ashton vsg's, some cohibas and a bunch of other singles... Like I said when I get back to my apt ill get you a list and you can pick and choose... And if you even want ill send you pics... All of my humis are perfectly maintained at 70/70 so you can be ensured that they will not be dried out or bad sticks... Also Ive had the majority of them for over a year and a half some of them for 3 years for they have all been resting for some time and are ready to be burned...

    http://www.cheapercigars.com/product...2460_a_7c19356

-I forget what I paid for the opus tin, as listed on this site it says 70, I dont believe I paid that much but I have the reciept at my apt...

-Please let me know if anyone would be interested in this trade. I am not trying to scam anyone and Im not trying to give you bad sticks. Like I said earlier I would definitly be willing to send first (to a track proven member), let you check out the goods and when you are satisfied send me those el reys...

    Thanks for looking, Greg

I would suggest you hang out for a while, and become a more established member of our community before attempting a deal like this.

Your willingness to send your end first says a lot. Stick around, get to know the forum and its members, and establish some rep. You'll have no problem making trades if you're willing to make yourself a part of this community.

Ease up a little . If he sends his end first and it is good what have you learned? You are not exactly an FOG yourself in my eyes

I kind of expected that I would meet some hostility... But once again I would be sending my side of the bargain first so... how would this be bad in any ways... if your not satisfied ill pay for shipping back... But ill take you reccomindations and try and post some more... that being said... Thanks for looking and any potential traders pm me

True, true ..... but this guy doesn't look like he wants to stick around to build a reputation, and that's a shame.

Honestly - I'm a little weirded out by someone that comes into any community and practically the first thing they do is set up a lemonade stand. Or - is it a 3 card Monte stand...

I can't quite tell because it's the internet and the pictures ain't so good...

George is right. Coming in and just starting to trade cigars is probably not a good way to get known. I applaud the fact you want to send your end first. However, that is very questionable. Just stick around and get to know the people and then maybe in the future you can start trading with others.

Personally I wouldn't... not because of anything wrong with the "deal," but there is more to trading than just making sure the merchandise is ok. I would want to know a bit more about anyone I do a trade with. For example, basic stuff like your age or even if you are someone who I would want to be associated with. The only way I'd know that is if you were here long enough so I could get to know something about you.

Your willingness to send your end first is all well and good, but that's not the end of the story.

EDIT: Missed your intro back in Sept. I see you're 20. Stick around and contribute a bit.

"The group" as you call it is what we are talking about. Many, if not most of the members of this board, I would trade with, blindly, and not have a question on what they are sending me. I wouldn't have a second thought if they are going to send something or not. Why? Because they came on the board and did their time getting to know the rest of us.

We are just giving you some nice suggestions. Whether or not you want to do that is up to you.

thanks bro! actually I did... There is a Tinderbox like 10 mins away from me and I grabbed a couple of Davidoffs from there... If I remember correctly I think I had a 2000 series... While it was pretty good, ill have to admit it was way to mild for me... I tend to stick to the maduros...

I agree that most Davidoffs are mild however the Millenniums aren't your average Davidoff. Have you ever tried one of those? I'll bet you'll like them.
