Arturo Fuente Anejo ~ No. 77 "Shark"
rpb67's review
This is a third! tandem review with my wife
Smoke(s) Arturo Fuente Anejo ~ No. 77 "Shark"
Drink(s): Yuengling Bock Beer (me); 7up (wife)
Tunes: Assorted stuff on wifey’s Zen
Wrapper: Connecticut broadleaf Maduro
Binder: Dominican
Filler: Dominican
Draw: Me: Medium / Wifey: Easy
Burn: (Both) Good
Misc: 90min +/-
Pre-light (Me): Box pressed with red band at foot. Changes to round shape at head. Medium dark brown with little white specs on wrapper. Medium sweet tobacco scent. Mild prelight flavor (of spice)
Pre-light (Wifey): I like the shape ½ round and ½ box. I think with color of cigar, the crimson ribbon matches nicely. Unidentifiable prelight scent. No prelight flavor, with a very slight tingle on the lips.

[B][SIZE="3"]Light (Both): Easy light, medium draw to easy draw.
1st 3rd (Me): Leather and creamy spiciness. Kind of numbs my tongue a little. Sweet tobacco ring. I can sense the cognac flavor.
1st 3rd (Wifey): Very mild. Hardly know I’m smoking a cigar, but what is there is very pleasant & creamy.

Ash (Me): Tight stack. Medium gray, holds on for about 1 ¼”
Ash (Wifey):Flakey, light gray. Holds on for about 1”

2nd 3rd (Me): Smooth & mellow. Medium body, full flavor. Leather and soil and sweet tobacco with a wine / booze like ring to the aftertaste. Some cocoa notes.
2nd 3rd (Wifey): This cigar is like a phantom cigar. Mellow, but a mild body cigar flavor with a breezy aftertaste. Not sure 7up is a good pairing (too sweet)

3rd 3rd (Me): Sweet and creamy. Leather & oil bite with mellow bitter twinge.
3rd 3rd (Wifey): Flavor has picked up. Peppery, but still creamy. Actual smoke is still light.

Overall impression (Me): I like the Anejo line a lot, and I’ll make it a point to pick a few up whenever they’re available.
Overall impression (Wifey): Better than most cigars I’ve had lately.
