This is a thread I am starting for the box splits I want to Initiate or anyone who wants to initiate a split with me unless you prefer to do it through PM or start a fresh thread with each split. In any event, any box splits that I initiate will be posted in this thread. I am thinking about using the same format, or close, and rules that Diesel Grinch applied to his thread "CigarSmokers Box Splits" HERE. If this is ok with everyone then I will continue on here as mentioned above.

So here we go, off to the races. I am going to re-post the split with mailman on the POR's just to keep everything in one place from the get go.

We already made the arrangements here are the details.

$39.99 + $5.00 shipping = $44.99 (just say $45.00)
You half box = $22.50 + $4.95 USPS flat rate shipping to you.

Remember you don't owe me for shipping this time around since I am sending them along with the bargain bin RP Costa Rican Maduros so just send $22.50 of course. I will order Tuesday AM when the eagle lands. Times are real tight plus I am in the middle of packing and moving right now is why I am waiting until Tuesday to order. I have put myself on a strict budget thus the reason for the need of inexpensive smokes especially right now. OH yeah, since shipping is $4.95 you get 5 RP Costa Rican instead of 4 plus the 10 PORs.

If anyone is interested in some 5ers let me know and I will order two or three boxes on the same order.
I can only find the Corona size right now. Anyone know where I can get a larger vitola?

Is this the best way to do the box splits, just keeping one thread for the all the splits you initiate yourself? Or is it best to just start a separate thread for each box split you initiate? If this is a stupid question just smack me around a bit with a large smelly trout.

Not replying as a "senior" member, I think your own box split thread is ok. If you want to keep track of stuff you've done yourself I don't see any issue. Keep it transparent, and maintain the integrity of the board. That's the most important part.

With that said, I'd be interested in 5 or 10 of the Por Larranaga. Let me know if I can get in on this one.

I am thinking about getting a 10 pack they have for $27.50 and getting rid of a 5er.

Also has anyone ever smoked one of these and if so how are they?

I have never had a Gurkha at all so "I know NOTHING"(in the voice of the lame guard on Hogans Heroes) about these but it is a good deal if they are decent smokes. Hell, for 2.75 I will take them even at yard gar quality in the Toro size as long as they don't taste like total crap!
