Noob Question: Search

Okay, so I seem to be a bit of an idiot right now. I'm trying to use the 'Search' function and am having difficulty figuring out how to get my results to show as individual posts, rather than threads containing the individual posts.

From the FAQ:
How do I search for something?
To quickly find a thread or post of interest anywhere on the bulletin board, click on the 'Search' link in the navigation bar at the top of most forum pages. Then, type in the keyword or phrase you wish to search for, and select either 'Show Threads' or 'Show Posts' to view the results. By selecting posts, you will be shown only the actual post in which the search word appears.

The search bar on my screen does not display a "Show Threads' or 'Show Posts' option (unless I'm not seeing it. I even tried going into 'Advanced Search' and selecting "Show Results as Posts", but to no avail. I just end up receiving results like this.

Any insight? Before when I search for posts, I remember receiving individual posts that contained my search words, not a listing of threads that I had to search through. Maybe I'm just nuts...

No, I noticed that when we switched to the newer format, we seemed to have lost that feature...of course, I "seem to be a bit of an idiot" most of the time.

Yeah, now that you mention it I see that we don't have that option anymore... I am pretty sure it was a pull-down menu option under "advanced search" - maybe Hex can add it back.

I've noticed that as well.....also, there is no "find all threads started by" in members profiles any longer. But, then again, I'm pretty much beyond the "seeming to be" part.
