    Default Address book

So I was thinking that it would be really helpful to have an address book built in to our preferences, similar to something like yahoo mail or something. I know I am horrible at keeping track of an actual address book so this would really help keeping stuff organized for ease of bombing.

If this already does exist please tell me where. I can't find the damn thing and I looked all over.

Comments? Questions? Ideas? Shut the fuck up newbie?

That's actually a good idea. There are a few folks on here I'd like to bomb but I don't want to be "Mr. Obvious" and ask for their info.

We actually have done this in the past. However, many of us have removed our addresses over the years for various reasons. I've had 5 different addresses since I've been on the boards myself. If you want someone's address and you don't want to be Mr. Obvious, my best advice is to ask some us that have been on the boards for a while. Although, I hate to say, my address logbook was lost in one of my hard drives a while ago, so I have no ones. Hope this helps.

I agree, someone here is bound to have the address of wh oyou are wanting to bomb, if you ask some of the FOGs you are bound to find it.

I do think an address book wouldn't be a bad idea anyway, would make it easier.

I should add that that was back about 10 pages on the search for "address book", and there was no resolution on it.

While it wouldn't be a bad idea, I just have a little actual address book that I just write people addresses down in. I dunno, to me it seems just as hard / easy to do it on here or in that book.

An address book would have to protected in some way.....I'm sure there are plenty of members who, for a number of legitimate reasons, would not want their address visible to anyone who registers.

Lopaka's right, ask around, someone should have it. Look through the contest and exchange forums....people who run contests and passes tend to have addresses.

Believe me when I say that almost anyones, who has participated in anything here, address is available. You just have to know who to ask.

I'm to guy who bombed Mr.Clemmons years ago and his address was really hard to get for a new guy on the boards. Just need to ask the right people.

Also, just to forewarn you noobs, be careful who you bomb. I've been on the receiving end and have done the same in my retaliation. We old guys, have a looooong memory and will get you back....someday. Some of us are known for using the nuclear option in retaliations.

I'm in the Air Force, we only use one option....full retaliatory strike...we don't like the enemy coming back or attacking our brothers and sisters in arms.

    Just to forewarn...

I kind of like Rogers idea. I have exchanged addy's with many a member, but with that said, I still have an issue with any fuck-wad being able to see my home address. I think you need to earn a little street cred in here before you have access to everyones address.

I know when someone asks me for an address, I do one of three things:
    1. Give it, because I "know" the requestor.
    2. Ask the person whose address is requested if they mind if I release it. (when I don't know the requestor well)
    3. Tell the requestor to fuck off.....if they are completely unknown or an asshat or otherwise questionable.

Now, if we are going to limit access to any such list, perhaps it's workable. I do know, however, that there are a few guys on here I would never consider giving out their address....except to the most trusted of members. And I have no doubt that is the way they would want it.

I'd have to pass. I would like a little area in my user cp where I could post notes or addresses that only I could view, but as far as needing an address to bomb somebody, it's usually pretty easy to get if you do a little research.

This is more what I was originally thinking. Just a place for me to organize the addresses that I have received from trades and passes. I'm starting to think rogers idea might be possible. With restrictions of course, like 50 or 100 posts and prior participation in trades and passes, just to make sure they aren't douchebags. But I still would rather have just private places for us to organize addresses that we get, and keep doing it the old school way of asking around.

    Just my 2 cents.
