Smoke: Carlos Torano Exodus 1959 50years ~ Robusto
Drink: Bear Republic ~ Racer 5 IPA; Yuengling Lord Chesterfield Ale
Tunes: Stevie Ray Vaughn ~ Assorted
Wrapper: Brazilian Arapiraca
Binder: Honduran
Filler: Nicaraguan
Draw: Medium
Burn: Perfect
Misc: Goes for about 60+
Pre-light: Nice construction, a little veiny. Dark brown wrapper. Double copper band (Personally, I think this is the sharpest looking CT band, not that it matters) Very sweet / rich tobacco scent. Leathery, non spicy prelight flavor.
Light: Easy. Medium draw
1st 3rd: Rich. Full body & full flavor. Nutty, woodsy, and a bit spicy. Oily mixed in too. Definetly reminiscent of a regular ’59, but with more oomph. Nice.
Ash: Charcoal black and light gray mottled with excellent stacking. Holds on for 7/8”
2nd 3rd: Still got some spicy going on. Oil and leather with a very nice balance. I’m impressed. Pairs good with the IPA (which I just finished.) Good woodsy notes with a slight sweet tobacco ring.
3rd 3rd: Oily. Sweet tobacco and woodsy / spicy. Yummy.
Overall impression: Nice. Might have to fire up the split thread to split a box of these.
