Smoke: Cohiba Puro Dominicana Toro
Drink: Pepsi - Barely touched it
Tunes: None
Location: Smoker's exile, Lot 11

Wrapper: DR
Binder: DR
Filler: DR
Draw: Just right, not too loose, not too tight
Burn: Required a few touch ups, probably due to wind
Misc: 75 minutes

Pre-light: Toothy, few small veins, very dense, draw a little harder than I like it but not too tight. Smells like sweet tobacco.

Light: Easy. Smooth, mostly pepper, just a hint of coffee. A solid full body.

1/3: Very creamy smoke. Pepper fading quickly off the bat into chocolate and leather. As the first third is coming to an end, the leather is fading rapidly and moving to kind of a peppery butter smoothness, I think, not exactly sure, but I like it! Initial ash fell off after I bumped it on my keyboard. Ash is flakey and white on the outside with grey spots. Had to touch it up 4 times during this third, probably due to the wind. Draw loosened up a little bit, perfect. Lots of thick, white smoke.

2/3: Pepper butter is persisting. Now leaving a light dry oily aftertaste. Mellowed out a bit to med-full body. Chocolate coming back with a vengeance. Rotating cigar after each puff seems to help with the uneven burn.

3/3: The chocolate had a lot of heart and put up a great fight, but the rest of pepper's spice friends jumped in and took over everything now. Tastes like I just lit a whole new cigar. Back to full body but still very creamy, save for a couple puffs at the beginning of this third. Forgot to rotate it, had to touch it up again. Hint of chocolate is taking it's final breaths now, the end is nigh. Chocolate was apparently doing the old rope-a-dope because it is now back on top. Pepper is gone. Had to touch up the burn again because I forgot to rotate it. A little bit of harshness for a couple of puffs, a quick purge and it is all back to creamy goodness.

Overall: This has been a great smoke! It is extremely complex and would probably better be reviewed in 6ths rather than 3rds with how much it is constantly changing. I started to get a very nice nicotine buzz at the beginning of the final third. The ash never held on for more than an inch, but that's more of a novelty factor for me anyway. I would say this was almost worth the $16 dollar price tag. If this were priced in the 11-13 dollar range, I would not hesitate to pick up some more, which seems to be the consensus on these from what I have read. I wasn't at all disappointed with it, but there are other smokes out there I would like to try before I get more of these at the current price.

Final rating out of 100: 95
