What difference does a torpedo make to the smoke and the taste?

Before you go bananas here posting all over the place asking about the different flavor profiles of different vitolas, you should take your time and search around. There have been discussions about the effect of vitola within a line on the flavor.
Better yet, start buying / smoking more cigars, as I understand you're just starting out. Try and buy some different vitolas in one line, and smoke and compare.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but for me, usually the smaller the ring, the more flavorful. I think this is due to the ratio of wrapper to binder/filler.
