Plastic Taste?

I had a Padron Ambassador on Monday and it gave me the worst plastic taste. I bought it and smoked it at my local tobacco store with a cup of coffee. I thought that maybe it had something to do with it but i took a fairly decent break and drank some water and it still gave me that taste. Have any of you had that experience? Especially with a cigar like Padron? It reminded me of opening a bag of Top Tobacco and smelling it. Anyways, overall i just wanted to share that and hopefully i'm not insane.
