Default Cigar boxes - anyone else collect them?

I have really gotten into buying cigar boxes! I have bought at least fifty since I started smoking about seven months ago. I am finding them very useful for storing small things, plus many of them are very decorative and attractive to look at on my bookshelf.

Anyone else into this hobby? Comments? Thoughts?
There's only two kinds of cigars, the kind you like and the kind you don't.

Why are you buying them? My shop gives them away. Let me know what you need and we can work something out for the postage....

My shop charges $2 each for wooden and $1 each of cardboard if you buy 10 at a time. They cost twice that much if you buy less than 10. I don't mind paying for them as I want to support my local smoke shop as they offer leather chairs and a big screen TV for free, and I'm a frequent mooch who goes by there and takes advantage of their generosity.

Thanks for the offer though, I appreciate it.

I've got hundreds of them. I give them away and sell them to those who want them.

What's really nice about the cedar boxes is you can use them in a coolidor to "condition" your cigars. Works like a charm

Default I would like to but......

storage space for a bunch of cigar boxes just doesn't exist in my house.

I have saved a few really nice ones like some of the older Indian Tabac boxes that have fantastic artwork on them and they're cedar too. I laquered the exteriors to preserve them. They will make nice dresser boxes someday.

I also saved a couple of El Rey del Mundo cabinet boxes. They're just so nicely made and solid cedar. I use them in my humidor for singles storage.

As the others have said, any cigar shop will sell empty boxes for $1 or so, many will just let you have them!

I have sold a few on eBay. Particular ones that are desirable for the craft purse hobbyists or others that are fairly unusual and collectible like CAO Criollo boxes with the little drawers, etc.
