(I am not being sarcastic in this post - I know, that is strange for me)

Perhaps I am just too worn out from a crazy Monday and so my compassion level is too high here, but...

I think you guys might be beating up on her a little too much. I mean, she is posting in almost the correct area (she went for "accessories", and one could say that artwork involving cigars is an accessory). I also think that she may be using an online translator to make her posts (and read ours) - so there is a slight communication issue. Her first post made me want to reach for a hammer, but realizing that she is an artist, and perhaps doesn't understand the English language enough to see how this forum works, maybe we should give her a slight pass on that. Also, let's take into consideration her age and background. It appears that she is around 50 and grew up in Cuba, which might mean that she is not all that computer savvy, and the internet might be fairly new to her (granted she has an Ebay page, but then again, so does my aunt - who thinks that myface, spacebook, and metube are "internet houses").

I don't know, maybe I just can't pick on women who are at the age of 50... reminds me too much of my mom I guess. If she were a man, or if she were in her 20's or 30's I would think differently about this. I can't stand public art - it ticks me off to no end - and that crappy scribble garbage that you see in the galleries, which any 3 year old could make is not worth the thousands that they ask for it. But I do appreciate the small town artists, who make very little money, and try hard to get their work noticed, usually to no avail.

Daysi, your artwork does look great - but I am no artist, and am easily impressed, so my opinion counts for just about nothing. If your intent here is to be a part of this forum, you need to have a friend help you with the translations and back off with the chauvinistic nonsense. If your intent is only to market your paintings, that is fine - but you need to post in the "Advertisements" section. Good luck with your artwork, your daughter looks lovely and she is lucky to have a mom like you.

    Buzz,
You should be canonized for sainthood IMHO
My last post was the result of a fine mixture of Percocet & Don Julio. Cheers

Is it in Ybor City...I've been to most of the cigar stores there. Which one is yours? Do you know a guy named Guado? He is pretty big in the cigar-pipe scene in the Tampa Area.

This would have been a great intro post. Welcome from Hell. Nice art. In regards to your poll, are those your preferred brands? Look into some box splits here or even the Newbie Sampler Thread in the Exchange section of the forum.

    Daysi,

Threadjacking your own thread isn't a good idea if you want to get out of the woods here.

Remember that I don't have any experience in this kind of forum. Some smaller mistake can be forgiven. My question about over rated is not for generate an additional subject, just than my husband and me have different opinions on this matter.

    Thank you for your advice
