Smoke: Montecristo Desde 1935 ~ Museum Edition Super Bowl XLIV
Drink: YLCA
Tunes: (Even More) Dazed and Confused soundtrack; Black Sabbath ~ We Sold Our Souls for Rock and Roll
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Habano
Binder: Nicaraguan
Filler: Honduran, Nicaraguan, Dominican
Draw: Medium
Burn: Excellent
Misc: Ran about 90-120min
Pre-light: Comes in a glass tube with Charles Fazzino print wrapped in it. I’m not a huge art buff, or a football fan for that matter, but it’s still pretty neat. Cigar inside is a well constructed, Colorado maduro, or straight up maduro shade wrapper. Nice sweet / musky tobacco scents, and sweet tobacco / leather cut tip prelight taste.
Light: Used a cedar piece, which smelled like campfire marshmallows. Medium draw, and easy light.
1st 3rd: A little bit of spice on the back of my mouth / throat. Very smooth, oily and creamy texture. Has some sweet tobacco hints right in the beginning. Musty, woodsy, and now officially complex with a solid medium body. Still have some residual campfire marshmallow. Volume of smoke, low.
Ash: Flakey, stacked will. Light gray with yellow twinge. Holds for about 1 ˝”
2nd 3rd: Medium body. Oily, but just barely approaching bitter. Complements the sweet / musky tobacco flavors. Smooth and creamy. I give this the ‘dry profile’ tag. Still some woodsy notes and just a tad of spice. Nice and mellow.
3rd 3rd: Most of the above profile is still here. Needs some more purging now to keep the bitter oil down, but overall still pleasant. Heating up a bit now too. Excellent smoke.
Overall impression: Good stuff. I would recommend, however, they’re expensive and for the price, there’s others I like more.
Thanks to Mangyrat for this opportunity
