Thread: Custom made pipe

  1. Default Custom made pipe

I'm in the process of having a pipe made to my specs...I'm really torqued up over it. It's gonna be based on the Rhodesian Chubby pictured here. http://www.rmdpipes.com/AvailablePipes.html

It's going to have a longer bent stem...Five inch...For starters with maybe a few other personalized details. This guy does excellent work and should make me a pipe I'll enjoy for years.

Thats a nice looking pipe, that calabash is nice too. Very reasonable prices, is there a big price difference going custom made?

Nope...The guy loves to make pipes and is not really profit oriented. He does make a buck or two though.

I got a chunk of brair burl to make a custom a few weeks ago. I'm starting into the holiday season now though so prolly won't get back to it until Jan now. I've heard it's a bitch to work though.

Agreed, and buying from him was a snap. Shot an email, he replied, used PP and it's here. I ordered Monday at around lunch time

Thank you nhcigarfan! I was trying to figure out how to get the money together to get that one. I appreciate you sparing me the temptation!

I might have to email the guy and see if he'd be will to do up another one here in a couple months when the finances mellow back out a little.

I'm not even into pipes but that is some nice work. The one you had designed and the Volcano look pretty sweet.
