By popular request, lol, with years to collect my thoughts.
Hello from a fellow follower of the leaf, possibly considered a rookie to some as I only seriously began with gars in the mid 90s.
Due to life in general (raising a family & constraints of doing so), I'd say my intake as well as purchasing probably peaked around 2005/2006. The last few years I've made a point to try to enjoy a cigar each weekend. Most I succeed, some I fail as that thing called life just won't get out of the way. While one might conclude the obsession appeared to subside, my appreciation has yet to waiver.
As my thread in the food & drink forum might suggest, something else I enjoy from time to time with a good cigar is a couple of fingers of good whiskey... or whisky - every now and again I'll substitute a worthy rum as well. As was the case with my smokes, consumption of all things pleasurable decreased to some degree around the same time going forward. Since my available time to consume evaporated, for a while there I accumulated more than immediately necessary ~ so for the most part, the good life over the last couple of years has been in moderation thanks in part to an accidental reserve if you will.
My current location is the left coast, (Eastbay) Californicator. Thanks for listening.
