Smoke: CAO Traviata ~ Divino (Robusto)
Drink: Yards Brewing Co.
Tunes: Sons of Anarchy; Season 3; Episode 2
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Habano
Binder: Cameroon
Filler: Nicaraguan / Dominican
Draw: Medium
Burn: Good
Misc: about 60min run time
Pre-light: Dark Colorado shade wrapper with a red hue to it. Good construction. Sweet tobacco scent. Leathery, spicy sweet flavors on cut prelight taste.

Light: Easy. Medium draw.
1st 3rd: Leathery. Pretty spicy, especially on the nose exhale. Sweet tobacco and oil mixed together. Medium to full body and medium flavor. Rich.

Ash: Flakey. Dark gray mixed with light gray. Holds on for about 1 ¼”

2nd 3rd: Rich. Dense. Not as much bite on the spice now, but not mellow by any means. Leather, oil. Good balance of those two. More full bodied now. Missing something…depth to the flavor profile.

3rd 3rd: Edge off the spice. Requires a purge at this point. Leather, oil and a little tannic now. Pretty good, but again, lacks depth. Somewhat enjoyable nonetheless.

Overall impression: While searching around for WBF info, I noticed a written description stating that CAO was shooting to match some Cuban style flavor. I can’t honestly say they pulled it off by a long shot. I think that may be what some people refer to as a “gimmick” or “marketing.” Overall, a decent cigar, but probably overpriced for its caliber.
Included in a blind trade, so thanks to denver24 for the opportunity.
