Thanks for that Sarge... I had a chat with CC and some of the others last night and I am doing my best to repair the situation... I have conceded defeat and admitted to my mistakes. I don't really see why it's necessary to continue slamming me after I apologized to CC directly for the things that were said.

Well stop apologizing already. A simple, "I'm sorry guys, I shouldn't have stuck my nose into something I didn't know anything about" would have been sufficient. A page long apology is way over the top. Just let it go, move on, and do other stuff. You'll be on probation with these guys till your character is established so don't dwell on it.

I wasn't so sure that a simple "I'm sorry" would have been sufficient, hence the long post. I said what I felt I needed to say given the comments I made earlier. I don't expect an immediate change in attitudes towards me, but I can't help but continue to apologize when people continue to berate me over it. I've made my bed and will have to sleep in it, but I don't intend on sleeping there forever.

Speaking of class, I think that's an apropriate analogy for the situation here. I feel almost exactly like I did in school... unwanted because I wasn't part of the group since kindergarten.

I'm gonna stick around, and I'm gonna continue to post, despite the snide comments (thanks Hugh - and I'm not being snide myself, you actually have a decent sense of humor)) and childish bickering. Just understand that everyone that arrives here hasn't been privy to your little web war, and that's why people like me step up and call you on your cheap shots and off-topic attacks.

When I first happened across this site, I found at first glance that most everyone was friendly and helpful, and in the past month that i've been reading posts daily, I've seen much to the contrary. Some of you seem to thrive on making others feel bad... Some of you have been successful at making me feel bad for standing up for Scott. As I said before, I alot of us don't know the history and don't care to. I personally don't care to have your preconcieved notions about individuals shoved my way like I'm supposed to pick them up and join the shitfest. I like and respect all of you, some more than others. I don't tend to have many RL friends because I work long hours, and I like having a place to socialize, even if it isn't face to face. I'm not going to let the afformentioned issues ruin that for me.

So, continue your little vendetta if you must. From here on out I'm gonna do my best to stay out of it. I'll make this my official apology for making childish comments myself... Sorry CC, George, Hugh, and anyone else I forgot and may have offended. I only hope we can carry on despite all that has been said here.

edit: And george, I will apologize for flying off the handle with the above quote. It was knee-jerk reaction to being told to STFU for having an opinion. Sure I could edit or delete it to save face, but I'm not the kind of person to try and cover up my mistakes.

I could not have put it better. I am going to stay out of this pissing contest. You guys do what you want.
