    Default Xmas present for my Dad..

    My dad has been saying he wants to start smoking a pipe so i got him this for christmas

    I'm thinking you are prolly right...Maybe some Orlic Golden Sliced. It's a mild smoke with citrus overtones. If you want to get him a nice aromatic you might try Dan's Blue Note. It tastes like it smells which is really pleasant.

    Let's not get carried away. A new smoker, a new pipe and a Virgina flake do not a good combination make. Something like McClelland's Virgina Woods might be more appropriate.

    You prolly right...I was smoking full cigars and my natural urges was to smoke a heavy pipe tobacco. The first tobacco I really enjoyed was Billy Bud...It's a pretty strong smoke. OGS is mild to me if smoked slowly.

    thanks for the thoughts...im thinking that ill just take him up to the pipe shop and we can hang out and he can try a bunch of different tobaccos and see what he likes
