Default Illusione Epernay ~ Le Ferme

Other's reviews (None found, searching the Reviews Forum)

    Smoke: Illusione Epernay
    Drink: Yuengling Porter
    Tunes: None

    Wrapper: Nicaraguan
    Binder: Nicaraguan
    Filler: Nicaraguan
    Draw: Medium
    Burn: Even
    Misc: 60-75mins run time

Pre-light: Nice Colorado shade wrapper. Lightly veined with some sooty dark splotches. Light tobacco scent. Maybe a bit pungent. I’ll use a punch, as I’m not anticipating a mouthful of tar with this cigar. Slight sweet on the cut prelight flavor.

    Light: Easy. Medium draw.

1st 3rd: Slightly spicy, but a mellow spice. Smooth with spice, light sweet leathery / tobacco flavors, and an touch of oil. There is a floral like aspect too. I notice this on almost all Illusiones. Good flavors sofar.

Ash: Gray with dark gray scales. Stacks nice and holds on for about 1”

2nd 3rd: Developing into a more medium body cigar. Full flavors and some of the leather / sweet tobacco melding into a sweet rich woodsy flavor. Still some spice, but less pronounced.

3rd 3rd: Very much like the 2nd 3rd. Woodsy, creamy, medium body. Slight spice with flor notes and some tobacco sweetness.

Overall impression: You really can’t go wrong with Illusione.

Great review. I love the whole Epernay line.

Great review! I also enjoy just about every Illusione and found this cigar to be similar to the ECCJ.

    Thanks for the review!
