Salt Test

I hate posting something so simple but I've searched a few times and couldn't find the answer I was looking for. I just received one of the HygroSet hygrometers and I wanted to do a salt test on it. I used about a teaspoon of iodine salt with enough distilled water to moisten the salt. I then placed it in a ziploc bag about 3-4 times the size of a sandwich bag. I will be leaving the bag sit for about 24 hours. Will the increased size of the ziploc bag alter the test? Did I use enough salt? Should it read out at exactly 75%? Lastly, if someone can even just point me in the direction of a link to a thread to answer my questions, I would be much appreciative. Thanks!
