MEGA Review IV Signup
I can't quite remember how frustrating it was to organize/combine cigar reviews from 15 people - so you know what that means!
That's right baby! This be a BLIND MEGA Review! I begged ashauler (and he graciously agreed) to help me decide which cigars to put in the lineup, as well as find the best deals. I spent dozens of agonizingly-careful hours taking the bands off of over 100 cigars, labeling them, and sorting them into 15 grab bags. The grab bags range in price from ~$39-$68. Each participant of MR4 will need to do 3 things:
1. Smoke the naked cigars. This should be fairly easy to do, assuming you have a way of cutting the cigar and some method of starting one of the ends on fire. Do not attempt to smoke all 5 cigars at one time. Also please note that the cigar is naked, not you. 2. Provide a review of the cigar. I have no sarcastic commentary for this step. Carry on.
3. Offer a guess for the price of the cigar (pay attention to rule #4 below). This is where the magic happens. Guesses should be in US dollars. Prices will fall within the range of $1-$20. Feel free to ask ashauler what the prices are - just understand that he will lie to you.
Once all particpants have completed their reviews for all of the cigars, the cigars will be revealed (as well as their prices). Whoever guessed closest overall will win a buzz sampler, as well as the prestigious title of "Cigarsmokers.com Leader of the Blind". The buzz sampler will contain some freebies that accompanied one of the cigar orders, as well as a few dried out dog rockets from my coolidor.
RULES
1. You need to be a participating member in good standing, there is no minimum post count, but I will defer to the FOGs for questionable participants. Dangit Mangy put your clothes back on!
2. Payment must be received before I send your sticks. If you send extra money I ain't sending change cause it's a pain. Except for badwhale - all I'm sending him is change, even if he doesn't participate.
3. Follow the timeline (will be posted once determined). Anyone who falls behind on the timeline will be sent PM spam once every 4 hours until their box is full. That's right - this just got serious. Dangit Mangy, clothes!
4. Prices for cigars are based on lowest box price (which excludes shipping & handling) from CigarCyclopedia's December 2010 Comparison shopper pricelist.
5. At the end if you don't like the cigar selections, tough - Ashauler picked em out so complain to him. If you like the selections, you're welcome - I picked em out.
