Default Recently I went old school...

I revisited a stick I hadn't smoked in years! The Rocky Patel Vintage 1990.

Man it has been a LOOOOONG time since that stick was burned in my mouth. That was the original stick that I fell in love with. Although I found it quite enjoyable it also seemed less complex than before.

Either way it was good to reminisce. Any of you done this recently?

Funny, I was thinking the same thing the other day of revisiting some of my old "go to" cigars. I need to pick up some stock for the summer soon so I can rest them down to the RH I like.

Of course, this is why people say keep a journal because it will take some wondering in the humi to find what I'm looking for.

Yep, Onyx Reserve for me. Same thoughts, good but not complex enough anymore for a "go to" smoke for my current tastes.
    Yay! Cigars!

I still enjoy LgC natural wrapper cigars. Had one last week. Still hits the spot. Also, CAO Brazillia work. I feel like I'm kinda burned out on the Excalibur 1066 line.

Oddly enough I had a RP V 1992 last night. This was the first stick for me that made me think "yea I can definitely do this a lot more often"! Still had the creaminess that I remember but you're right, the complexity seemed to drop off a little.

I need to start keeping a journal. I tried to do it when I first started smoking but because at that time I was just smoking cheap sticks when taking the dog for a walk I would never write anything down and gave it up very quickly. Now that I am taking time to enjoy a smoke and understand it a little more I need to pick it back up!

Every friggin LGC I smoke tars up like hell. From the plain line to the R to the N...I gave up smoking them.

The only ones that seemed to fair me well are the artisanos...but kinda pricey IMO.♦
