You worked with the Prime Minister??? Holy shit, that's awesome! Was it when they moved the London Bridge to Arizona?

And no, never had the opportunity to tip in cigars.

I have offered cigars to people doing work for me on various occasions, but the answer has always been "no". Interesting.

The very first project my company did was an audit for the natural gas detection system for the London Bridge. It was also the first check we received as a company.

And no, never tipped with a cigar. I've given them out, but not as a tip.

Some of these replies made me wonder if I was supposed to tip the sub-contractors doing the work and maybe a cigar was an insulting substitution for good ol' cash. A quick Google search seemed to confirm that most people didn't think a tip in this line of work was expected.

Without knowing, I'd assumed tipping was not custom and gave the cigars more as a PIF or surprise. First time we'd had guys working on the house, so I guess I got lucky at least one of the was a brother of the leaf!
    Latest smokes:
    Cigar: 5/19: Nub Connecticut 464T
    Pipe: 3/16: G.L. Pease~Charing Cross
