New guy from Vegas

Hello from Las Vegas. My name is James and I'm 38 and I just started smoking cigars. I have a close friend that smokes them and I finally tried them...... I hooked now. My first was a Padron 3000. It was pleasant enough for me to continue trying others. My next was. MonteCristo Classic then an Onyx Reserve then my last one was an AirBender. I'm happy with all of them. I did find the onyx and airbender were nice. I will be more of them. I just purchased a humidor from Famous Smokes and a 5 pack of Perdomo 10 anniversary champagne robosto. My wife bought me a Rocky Patel The Edge Missile and I just bought a Rocky Patel 1990 Vintage Robosto tube from an over priced smoke shop today along with a crappy lighter.

It's like a can't taste enough different cigars. I do find it hard to find an hour or so to enjoy a full cigar but I'm trying. I find myself looking at CigarMonster every hour or so. I like see the different items at a good price.

Anyways, I'm rambling.. Thanks for this site.

Welcome to the forums. The fact that you are here is a good sign....I just hope you have a thick skin.

But if you can survive Vegas, you can survive here. Just be thankful the worst thing you might leave here with is ACIDs, Swishers, some creative insults at your expense, and live lizards. (Not sure they are gonna be live now, but that's another story.)

I was just in Dallas a couple of weeks ago and went to this smoke shop too! It's a nice place but a little overpriced. On a side note down the street from Up In Smoke is an amazing restaurant called Ocean Prime. If you are looking for a good surf and turf place this is AMAZING!

Also, instead of going on CigarMonster (which isn't bad at all) you can probably get a better deal with a wider selection of sticks from the newbie sampler! It's a great way to try a bunch of different smokes and the sponsors on here really take care of everyone! That thread is in the exchange section!

My favorite place to smoke a cigar is in Vegas - at Caesar's - Casa Fuente...

The prices are not exactly cheap, but the smokes and drinks are great!


...and the scenery ain't half bad either!!!
