Pre-light: Thick looking / feeling wrapper. Strong musky leathery tobacco scent. Maduro-oscuro wrapper color. Decent construction with triple cap.

Light: Easy. Medium draw.

1st 3rd: Medium to full body. Dark, rich, oily, leathery. Maybe a little bitter now. Mellowing out a bit now. Smoother and tobacco sweet. Strong leather notes, spice and sweet tobacco.

Ash: Dark gray with black mottled layers.

2nd 3rd: Full body. Strong leather and spice. Earthy and oily. The flavors really stick and linger on the palate.

3rd 3rd: Rich, strong tobacco flavors. Spice, oil, and sweet tobacco notes. Also, the long aftertaste of these flavors on the palate. Edgy and strong….I wouldn’t use “smooth” to describe this, but not overly aggressive either.

Overall impression: I’m not sure these quite fit my tastes. Nevertheless, they were discontinued, so even if I wanted more, they’d be hard to find.
