Well, short answer is no, obviously. I can, however, provide the requisite nutrients in proper proportion and plant and maintain them for the proper duration, and end up with a "true to type" plant. There is much data available to ensure this aspect.
It is not the same though, granted. I don't think I'd even want it to be the same.
In so far as reliable information exists, I can also harvest and initially "color" cure the leaves in similar manner and conditions and for similar lengths of time. What I have not been able to do without artificial heat and humidity is properly ferment those leaves. The end product of assisted fermentation is certainly smoke able, and is enjoyable.Shit, even the vast majority off CT leaf produced in the US is fermented elsewhere. Broadleaf is an exception, but it's an exception in other ways also.
