    Default Partagas Serie P ~ No. 2

    Smoke: Partagas Serie P ~ No. 2
    Drink: Yuengling Bock Beer
    Tunes: None

    Wrapper: ISOM
    Binder: ISOM
    Filler: ISOM
    Draw: light to medium
    Burn: very good
    Misc: over an hour runtime

Pre-light: Colorado claro shade wrapper. Excellent construction on this pyramid shape. A little bumpy and veiny with some reddish splotches on the wrapper. Slight sweet tobacco scent. Slight sweet tobacco taste on the cut prelight flavor.

Light: Easy, and a nice light to medium draw.

1st 3rd: Nutty and a slight bitter oil twinge. Certain saltiness in the background. Sweet tobacco notes.

Ash: Medium gray with dark gray layering. Holds on for about 1/2”

2nd 3rd: Sweet nutty tobacco with an oily bitter and salty ring. This does not mean bad for those reading. Smooth medium body cigar with different nuances on the draw, and exhale. Subtle notes of earth, peat, and woodsy flavor. Medium body, but intricate flavor profile.

3rd 3rd: More of the same, and that’s good. Nutty, woodsy sweet tobacco contrasted with a nice oily, bitter salty twinge. Nice.

    Overall impression: Good shit.

Will have you head a Partagas Serie D No 4? I'm curious how this one compares to the smaller version. I've had the D4 before but am thinking of trying some of these out!

    A great review as always!

    nice review...
I smoke way more smaller cigars than I do larger ones. However, I smoked this one...good cigar... Very smooth for first 1/3. Very earthy flavours followed by a slightly spicier 2nd/3rd that had hints of cream like flavours. The last 1/3 was a plethora of different arromas mixed with spices, creams, and a very earthy base note.

    Ditto.

    Smokes 'very well' when young.

By 'very well,' I mean that I'd want to smoke another SP#2 over almost every (new) cigar that I've ever smoked. :-)
