Thread: Couple of pipes for sale...Nice ones

  1. Default Couple of pipes for sale...Nice ones

First up is a Mastro de Paja Oom Paul. It is handmade. It is a large pipe suitable for a 2 hour smoke. The bowl swallows my little finger. I've smoked it about a dozen times. I simply don't have time to smoke it. I have only smoked straight Burley and Straight Virginia through it...No aro or lat stuff. It is a good smoker. I have $130 in it...I will take $100 plus shipping. I am wanting a nice meerschaum...Maybe an acquire me this can be worked out.

Next up is a gourd calabash. It is made of African Blackwood with a ceramic bowl. The bowl is just starting to color around the rim. The bowl has a couple minor dings and there is a bit of tooth chatter on the stem. A bit of work will fix the tooth chatter. Walker Briar Works has done a bit of work on it to improve the draw. It is really open now. $85 plus shipping...Maybe an acquire me this can be worked out for this one too.

I will clean the pipes and sanitize the stem before shipping both pipes so they will be ready to smoke when you get them. If you want them both we can talk about the price.

Tell you what...I found a meer for less than I want for the Mastro de Paja. It is the SMS Meerschaum Tiger Pipe 224-TIG. It includes free shipping. Pretty good deal IMHO. http://www.milantobacco.com/meerschaum_pipes.htm

Calabash reduced to $75...Taking a beating at that price. Cash or tobacco from the tobacco shop in the Mastro de Paja offer. This is a good cool smoking pipe.

One last try on the Calabash..$65 shipped or the tobacco deal. Taking a bath on this one. It smokes real well...It just don't suit my personality

    Ken,

That pipe looks so cool. Like Col. Hans Landa from Inglorious Basterds....too bad I just have lost all fascination with pipes for now.

Guarentee this one would get your intetest back...Might work with you a small bit more.

That was one hell of a scene when he smoked the fancy pipe and the poor farmer smoked a homemade cob. Talk about tension.

He though long and and hard...He bought it. Gonna try to get it out in time for him to complete his Halloween Confederate costume. What is a southern general without a calabash.

I probably won't take it out with me, the risk of me getting all liquored up and breaking it is far too high. But thanks for the sick looking pipe. Maybe next year for halloween I'll use the pipe and go as Col. Hans Landa from Inglorious Basterds, that's a costume that's sure to get me punched in the face!

Going out dressed as a Nazi would not be cool. If you decide to do it please include before and after pics.

Funny, I've seen people pull off the Hitler costume many times in Ireland. But here in the Old USA it would not happen.
