Default Illusione Singulare 2010 ~ Phantom

    Smoke: Illusione Singulare 2010 Phantom
    Drink: Yuengling Porter
    Tunes: none

    Wrapper: Nicaraguan
    Binder: Nicaraguan
    Filler: Nicaraguan
    Draw: Light to medium
    Burn: problematic
    Misc: N/A

Pre-light: Nice Colorado shade wrapper with excellent construction. Has a nice tobacco / musty scent at the foot. Nice light sweet tobacco ring on the cut prelight taste.

Light: Pretty easy using a cedar splint. Light to medium draw.

1st 3rd: What I call a woodsy nutty flavor. A touch of oil, and surprisingly mellow spice less flavor. Kinda on the milder side right now. Smooth and buttery. Medium flavor.

Ash: Flakey and loose. Dark gray and charcoal. Holds on for 1 ¼”

2nd 3rd: Woodsy and oily. Good flavor but I’m having tunneling issues. Purge and continue.

3rd 3rd: More tunneling. Oily mostly now. Yoda speaking, I am. Stilly pretty mellow, but lacking the depth / flavor development I expect from Illusione.

Overall impression: I won’t be looking for more of these LE Illusiones.

Thanks Denver24 for the opportunity to try this! Wish your IT guys would let you log on some more!

Thanks for the review, I've smoked fivers of the cg4, f9, and mj12 and all three were hit/miss. When they hit they are fantastic though.

I've not had a bad HL, and tend to stick with that vitola. I have had issues with burn on the cg4's as well.

I'm about through a box of the mj12s and been through a box of 88s, neither really had burn issues. Now, I've lit them uneven a few times, but no tunneling or plain bad burns.

    Just my experience.

I thought these Singulares were supposed to be good?

No matter the taste, a burn like that can make a cigar a stressful hour or two.
