Tabacalera in the Philippines Celebrates the 130 year of it's creation back in 1881 !

Alan the dynamic and passionate Pare (friend) that partly owns and manages the company for 2 years now, created the 130 to mark the mile stone.

The factory is since 2 years now, newly located in a very Green Industrial Zone, located in an exotic surrounding well outside Manila's heat and pollution.

This fact contributes probably a lot to the actual great improvement of the different Lines Tabacalera Produces.

The Manila setting was kind of Drying the Leaves harsher. The new factory is a world standard setup, it is an all Totalmente Hecho a Mano production.

The 130 is available only on very Limited quantity and exclusively through swigar.

I smoked tasted one and (got blown away !) here my short review for it, unbiased, as i enjoyed it !

    130 GRAND CRU - And a Content Men !

It is a Rich Mild cigar, a Mild as Philippines Mild can be, something i describe like drinking Crystal Clear Mountain Water, but there is a BODY in it and a very particular Body with all edges rounded and Flavors like you are in a Palace Room in Portugal, Room fully covered of Heavy Impressive Carved Wood, with a Window open to the Ocean.

Now look at this ash !
Compact, firm, you cannot find a Crack in this, Cemented to the Stogie !

At that point, i went down to my basement, spanned the 130 in the Vice and got the Sledge hammer to knock that ash off ! (smiley here !)

I could have smoked that cigar down to foot by keeping it horizontal, amazing ash.

The Cigar is 5 Inch long and about Ring gauge 54, just bigger to the Robusto.

Some revelations about this particular 130 now.
    • FILLER Brazil 1992 and Philippinnes 1999 ( yes, 19 years and 12 years old premium Leaves !)
    • BINDER Philippines - undisclosed age and exact type
    • WRAPPER Brazil - Undisclosed age and exact type

I have here a Real GRAND CRU and enjoy this stogie a lot actually, there is a hint of pepper in it, but like crushed under a hammer, hidden in the depth Bold Body of the Unique Taste of this Aged Vintage Blend Cigar.

A real nice smoking experience it was, truely outstanding.

Since the cigar is made only on a very small scale, for the ones that will get Hand on it, have a very enjoying time smoking this Jewel.

Hat Off to Alan and the Tabacalera Team, and Long Live Tabacalera !

Having the company's representative post once in the wrong forum doesn't make one a spammer, IMHO.

Unless there's extenuating circumstances, I'd agree. At least it was about an actual cigar instead of a plastic-fake cigarette or the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce.

I don't think it's spam either. He might be a rep but so what, it's still a review. Furthermore I couldn't find a link to buy it on the post so I can't even say it was in the wrong section.

Tabacalera is a Spanish tobacco monopoly which was established in 1636, making it the oldest tobacco company in the world [1]. In 1999 the company merged with SEITA of France to form Altadis. Its brands included Ducados and Fortuna.
Tabacalera is also the common name of Compañia General de Tabacos de Filipinas, S.A.

"The resulting coffee is said to be like no other. It has a rich, heavy flavour with hints of caramel or chocolate. Other terms used to describe it are earthy, musty and exotic. The body is almost syrupy and it's very smooth."
