Thread: Table Top Humidors

  1. Default Table Top Humidors

When it comes to table top humidors, what qualities do you find to be most important?

I ask because I'm in the process of designing a table top unit and a few questions have arisen.

I see that most cigar gurus look for a 3/4" wall thickness to the sides to reduce air flowng through the wood sides of the humidor. Does a humidor need any air exchange?

There seem to be many positive reviews of the bead style humiliation system, does this system allow any regulation?

What sort of hygrometer is best?

Thanks for letting me pick your brains.

Does a humidor need any air exchange? yes ,usually a .750 hole in each panel

There seem to be many positive reviews of the bead style humiliation system, does this system allow any regulation? yes it does not

What sort of hygrometer is best? if you can find 1 on ebay the digital models from the late 1930's are superior

Looks like this turned out to be less about humidors and more of a social experiment. Interesting.

I feel bad we've not answered your question. No, really - I don't want anyone walking away from our community thinking we're bad people...

I found this via a Google search:

We don't speak of our little experiment for fear of our government funds being cut.
