  1. Default No idea what is happening

Hey guys, I'm having some trouble with my cigars and I figured if anyone would know what is happening that person would be here. So I recently went to Cuba and purchased some Cohiba's. I brought them back and attempted to smoke one, after cutting the cap I tried lighting it and after some effort achieved my goal. I then tried smoking it. This is where my issue arose, I tasted the cigar, the foot flared, but I did not get any smoke in my mouth. This continued and unless I was smoking or puffing on it, the cigar would eventually stop burning if let sit there. Now, I live in an extremely dry environment (Alberta, Canada) and I left the cigars for another week figuring that they were moist. A week later I still have the same problem. Does anyone know what is going on and how to fix it?

Did you buy them from a reputable dealer, or some dude at the hotel you stayed at?

Yes, before anyone can answer you question, you need to answer this one first. Where did you buy your Cohibas? And don't say "In Cuba" we need to know if you bought them from an official LCDH shop or what.

I bought them from a guy in a hotel, so no not a reputable dealer. The guys I bought them from provided the certificate and everything. Which I can post here if need be.

Find a draw poker and unplug that fake cuban.
Yep you got fake Cubans in Cuba.

I personally don't care if they are fake as long as they are a half decent cigar ill smoke them.

LOL - if they were purchased in Cuba, then they're probably still Cuban cigars.........just not the ones you thought you were buying. I'd still smoke them too.

Hey FuzzyBadTouch where in AB are you? I'm in AB too and so are two other members. If you're close to any one of us I'm sure we could help you figure out if they're what you paid for or not.

I have thousands of those "certificates" too. You have fake, $hitty cigars. If I were you, I'd throw them away.

That's the ticket. As long as you didn't pay so much for them that it'll break your heart every time you light one up.

You don't have to post the certificate - just enter the numbers under the certificate's barcode on the Habanos SA website and check that what the website decodes matches what you bought.

Please post what the website gives as a response.

My wife and daughter bought me a birthday pipe last year. It's not briar, burns wet and hot, and burns the hell out of me. I still smoke it with a smile on my face. What's a little tongue bite between family?

My wife informed me her daughter bought me a pipe for Christmas. Was marked $25 and on sale for $16.00
My wife also said "and you'll smoke it when she's around with a smile on your face" after I said just throw it in the bin. $16.00 ????? even a piece of shit drugstore pipe cost more than that.
These are the same kids that are afraid to ask thier mother for loans, always calling me, Paddy can I borrow $200
Paddy can I borrow $500, paddy can I borrow $1,000
All I rate is a $16.00 piece of shit
