Umm, Mr. NYC. If you live in NYC, I'm sure there are many places to have that authenticated.

Are you asking for a consensus of opinions - or would you be willing to just take mine as gospel...

In reviewing the photographs you supplied I guess that it is absolutely authentic The model appears to be JR-14QBT and it's only one of 15 that have ever been produced. I guess the value to be in the $15-20,000 range.

A very wonderful, thoughtful gift! And I wouldn't part with it under any circumstance!

    Does that help?

Yeah I would have to say on something like trying to say something is real or not best bet would be somewhere local, Hard to say over the internet with only pictures. Looks like a nice Lighter. Hope you enjoy it. to me Couldn't care less if something that someone gave me or handed down was real or not. To me it is the Thought that counts. Peace and hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Safe happy New year

How far is that from Chinatown?

You really need to give us at least a couple of more photos with the lid open in order to determine if it's fake or real.

I know exactly where it is as I've been there before. I was just wondering how long it will take you to get to midtown from Chinatown.

Can you take a better shot of the top of the lighter so we can see the ridges like these photos show?:

Are you looking to sell it? If so, how much do you want for it?
