When I had time to really focus on the cigar, I enjoyed the muted flavors much more. Kind of like a girl playing hard to get, you really have to want to find them. I think they are, for the most part, overpriced cigars. But like George said, for a splurge cigar they are great.
That's a spot on description of my attraction to Davidoff's. I can never quite put my finger on what I'm tasting, but it seems to be very well blended to the point that I think I really couldn't put my finger on it. I assume it has to do with much of the cigar originating from DR where the tobaccos are not as "spicy" as other locales (Nicaragua, etc.), and Kelner's use of a "neutral" Connecticut shade wrapper.

Regardless - the one thing I'm really struck with is the consistency - consistently every time I smoke one it very much reminds me of the last time I smoked one. And - they are very much consistently well constructed. I have never been disappointed.

But - in a word, I would describe the experience as "elegant".
