Default New to the Site & Cigar World

    Hey Everyone,

My Name is Phil I Live in Bayonne,NJ. I'm new to the site and just recently started smoking Cigars.
Looking forward to learning about all types of cigars and hope you guys can send me in the right direction.

I went to my first cigar shop and was told to start with a light mild cigar. I was given a Por Larranaga 1834 Cabinet Seleccion with a connecticut wrapper.I smoked 3 of these cigars.
Although the cigar was well made, Stayed lit and even the entire time and had a very smooth draw, it did absolutely nothing for me. It was way to light and mild.

The Next cigar given to me after asking for one with more flavor was a Sun Grown "Rocky Patel". I really enjoyed this cigar. It was sweet with a good amount of flavor.
This is the type of cigar I see myself asking for in the future not a mild cigar.

Was wondering if anyone could give me some suggestions on where to go from here. I'm looking for something with a good amount of flavor.

    Thank you!

    Welcome from western Oregon.

Taste is subjective; that said, one of my first cigars was a Partagas Black Label, lots of flavor, and still one of my favorites.
    Latest smokes:
    Cigar: 5/19: Nub Connecticut 464T
    Pipe: 3/16: G.L. Pease~Charing Cross

No problem. I keep several tins of 6 of the Pronto vitola (4 3/16 x 36) to hand out to folks at parties/events. Nearly all of these folks don't really smoke cigars, but they've all said they were good.
