    Default Humidor %

    Hey guys,

Just received my first humidor on Monday. It is stuck at 75% for 2 days now. What can I do to get the humidity down.

I chose the method of wiping the interior down with distilled water and soaking The humidifier that came with the humidor. Left a damp sponge in the humidor to sit over night and did it a couple more times.

I purchased a good digital hygrometer and did the salt test and calibrated it.

I added a 2oz jar of xikars crystal humidifiers and placed it inside along with the humidifier that came with the humidor. My humidor holds 50 -70 cigars . It is stuck at 75% .what can I or should I be doing?

Open the lid for a few hrs or better yet fill the thing 1/2 to 3/4 full of cigars they will suck up that extra RH.

Two days, meh. I'd be more worried about two weeks. Smoke more. The opening and closing will come around. Whenever I have to rehydrate my beads, I get a slight bump in humidity, but unless you notice your sticks are smoking worse, I wouldn't worry about it too much, as it's going to take longer than two days to adversely affect them, anyways.....
