Pre-light: Maduro shade wrapper. Great construction. Wrapper has a sandy texture look to it. Sweet tobacco scent.

Light: Took a little effort with a soft flame. Medium draw.

1st 3rd: Smooth on the draw, and then a pepper blast on the retrohale. Sweet tobacco and some spice. Some oil twang, some leather. Good profile, but I hope it develops a little more…

Ash: Perfect burn. Perfect layered ash with the tiny ash bubbles. Holds on for about 1 ½”

2nd 3rd: Oily and leathery. Musky and an earthy profile. Medium to full body. Quite a departure from the natty counterpart. The maduro is a bit overwhelming here. Not bad, but it’s masking other flavors I think.

3rd 3rd: Leathery, oily and smooth. Has mellowed out into a woodsy, sweet tobacco. Good deal.

Overall impression: These are good. The naturals are better.
