What you're going for is consistency - something that analog hygrometer won't provide. You can probably just ditch the hygrometer altogether, if you trust your beads. Season the humidor, make sure those beads are saturated, open your humidor occasionally, and monitor the density of those beads. You should be fine.
I am going for consistancy. I thought I trusted my beads but now am having doubts about weather my beads/hygrometer is the problem or if it is operator error.
