Dude, WTF? I mean thanks for all the links but I'm not going to click on each one and give you a synopsis.

    1) Something like this was just posted, I think in this very forum and wasn't received well.
    2) There is a wish list thread in the exchange forum

    Use search.

WOW!!! That must have taken HOURS to assemble...

I'm fairly certain you're going to be getting some pretty pointed feedback from the established members of this board. Take it to heart - what you're asking is really imposing. Don't like the criticism? In that case I'm thinking you really will not like this community at all.

I'm going to give you the same advice I gave the other person who posted their entire list of potential smokes. Nobody here is going to have the time to click on every link and give you an opinion. I would recommend using the search function in the upper right and also using google to find out more information.

I do think that the Humidor is quite nice, and the Cutter should do the job perfectly. I have some Xikar products, and they have never let me down.

The problem, more than anything else, would be that IF one person were to click on each of those links and give their "advice" for each - it would only be on persons opinion. As I'm quite sure you've heard numerous times, opinions are like a**holes - everyone has one, good or bad...

I would argue that in order to truly and accurately respond to tarheels request, EVERYONE in this community would have to click on all of those links and give their opinions. And - in the end - tarheel (or his designee) would have to somehow matrix all of those responses in a way that would most efficiently form a "consensus" opinion taking into consideration some opinions would not be valid or appropriate. Challenging, even under the best of circumstances.

For example... I would agree - Xikar products have never let me down. And - I know (personally as well as through interactions) that they are widely known for their exceptional customer service. Yet - I also know of at least one person who has complained they did not care for Xikar's customer service. Why? It seemed to me from the discussions around their experience that the persons expectations for Xikar customer service were well outside what I believe are the bounds of reasonableness. So - I know at least one persons opinion of Xikar would be, "they suck". Would it be valid if a member offered that Xikar "sucked"? Hmm... Questionable. Would it be a consensus opinion? Hardly.

Though I would also argue that perhaps the most useful information in this thread would not be any response to tarheels quest for knowledge, but instead a better understanding of "social responsiblity" for everyone visiting this community.

Was not expecting people to click The links just look at the name of the cigars. It did take several you're to compile the list, but that was for my wife so she could see the sticks and know what to look for. Most of them are maduros and i have tried many of them over the years, but there are many I have not tried.

Ok - so the request for us to evaluate what you've posted and compile some kind of "wish list" for you is still on the table!?!

...oh, this ain't gonna be pretty.

Once again, I think this is an easy task. I wouldn't smoke any of those cigars if I was spending my own money. Most I wouldn't smoke if they were free.

Do draft dodgers have reunions? And if so what do they talk about?

No I was not expecting anyone to compile a list. Was just wanting some comments on what people have tried. I see what kind of people are members and I guess I need to make things simple. It is my fault for thinking people would actually be helpful to someone that is new to the forum. If a mod can close this thread I would appreciate it as I can see it will not go anywhere. I will make sure i am short and to the point in any further posts or threads I start.

This is what I get for being helpful. I was being honest. I've been smoking cigars for over 40yrs. I was trying to keep you from wasting your money. I'm beginning to think you don't know what you want.

What is it about these you don't recommend? That comment was not directed at you if that is how you truly felt. I come from a strong latakia pipe blends and that is why I am looking at maduros. In the past I have preferred maduro's over ems as i felt a lot of ems did not have enough flavor. Past few weeks I have tried the Camacho triple maduro, LGC series r, Padron 45, cao mx2, and of course the sancho panza double maduro. In the past I kept punch after dinners, lgc maduros, ryj maduros, and sancho panza in the humi.

Why don't you take each cigar you listed, and try searching the reviews forum?

I have been reading the forum for a couple of weeks and reading reviews all over the place before I thought about posting. I was trying to be part of the forum and get some feedback and maybe some guidance if I am on the right path or not. I may be new to this forum, but I am not new to forums and know to search first and ask if I cant find the answer, or at least that is how it is done on every other forum I am a member of. I have been a member of smokersforums since 2006 but it is geared more towards pipes and have been member of other forums for quite a bit longer. I saw a lot of activity on this forum and thought I would like to be a part of a community to discuss my love for the leaf in a different for other than pipes.

Ok, that's fine. While searching did you notice any recent posts where people barf up a long list of cigars, and ask the community to rate them? If so, how did that work out for them?

No I did not find one that you are speaking about and as I said I apologize for that. I will keep them short and to the point from now on.

You might see an occasional "Hey guys, I was thinking about getting XYZ cigars from ABC vendor, but I've never had one. I checked the review forum but didn't turn up any results. Do you guys have any impression on it?" I personally will try and answer those if I can. Others probably will too.

What you have posted is the equivalent of a giant PITA homework assignment.

Padron, LFD, Fuente, Tatuaje, Don Pepin Garcia or his son Jamie. That should keep you busy for the rest of your life.

For the most part in the past I have not cared for Padrons; however, I did enjoy the Padron 45 I had the other day. I have not tried the maduros but will give them another try. The rest of your list I have not tried but will give them a shot.
