    Default New here-quick questions

Hello everyone, I will have to admit I know nothing about cigars. However, I want to get some nice cigars for my boss. I've herd him mention he likes cubans but obviously I need a little bit more help then just that ha ha. Any recommendations for a nice cuban cigar? And how do I go about ordering some
nice cubans online? If it helps I live in the miami area.

    Thanks everyone!

Wow first two posts asking for Cuban sources. You're going to go over well here.

If this is not allowed please tell me and I will be happy to edit my post. I do not want to offend anyone here. I'm just looking for some friendly help
because I am obviously a 'noob' when it comes to cigars.

You might want to read "rules and regulations" for this forum in regard to discussion of Cuban cigars.

Understood with the 'noob' thing. Also please understand the sale of Cuban Cigars in the United States is prohibited by law. And - if that's not enough - if you're tempted by someone who is offering them "legally" in the US, you're very likely buying fakes. As a matter of fact - the large bulk of "Cuban" cigars that are in the US are fake.

...and there will be no shortage of "experts" that will offer advice on how you can "legally" purchase Cuban cigars. Caveat Emptor.

If you're truly interested in knowing about cigars - from Cuba to the rest of the world - read and enjoy the board. There's plenty of good "stuff" here. You might want to start with the cigar reviews and also think about picking up a "newbie" sampler. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

This is one of the reasons I'm not too keen on people who join a forum like this but don't put any information in with regard to where they are. Even if you just put "US" or "Canada" or "UK" it would be helpful.

You see, while there's an embargo on all things Cuban in the US, that's not true for the rest of the world. I can promise you, it's not true here in Canada where I can, and do, legally buy and smoke Cuban cigars.

So, to sum up, if we knew what country you lived in, and it isn't the US, we might actually be able to help you. If you're in the US, go back, reread all the posts above mine and pay attention.

    Welcome to the board.

Being that I live in the US, I know nothing of these mythical Cuban cigars you speak of. But I've overheard some Canadians with a penchant for fine Cuban smokes at my local B&M enjoy the Padron 1926 Serie when they are state-side.

    Maybe that helps.
