Default Does Cigarbid normally ship this way

I just got my first order from Cigarbid.com and I was a little surprised to see my cigars. They were well packed but had no humidification beads or anything in there with them. It was very hot inside the box (UPS and USPS trucks in Houston get very hot inside in summer) so I am worried it has affected the quality of the sticks - high heat with uncontrolled humidity. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

That's the way they are shipped.

I usually freeze my cigars for three days following arrival. I then let them rest in the refrigador for a couple of days after that. This is supposed to kill the beetles and eggs that might be in the cigars. Beetles hatch in temps ovver 70 degrees.

I don't think damage from the heat would apply to cigars shipped and recieved in a few days.

I agree with Sarge... Plus they are either tightly wrapped in plastic, or shipped in a zip lock bag. That will keep in the moisture for that short time they are in transit. Just to be safe, though - I generally let them rest about a week to stabalize in my humi before I smoke them...

It is only a couple days, so I wouldn't worry to much about it. But as they said, if I were you I'd let them set a little while in the humi.

Ok thanks everyone. I'm gonna do the freezer/rest in refrigerator thing then put them in a humidibag (to isolate them from my humidor) and wait and see.
