Another Humidor Seasoning Problem

I have a new humidor (my third). I've seasoned it like the others (wet the walls, etc.) and this time I bought the XIKAR(R) crystals with the solution.

After a week I can't seem to get the humidity up over 62%.

I calibrated the Hygrometer using the salt method and it is dead on. I know you want 70% but is 62% within the range of "normal"?

I have a box of Bauzas just waiting for a new home.

Any help would be appreciated.

I actually prefer to smoke my cigars in the 60-65% range. They burn much nicer and I seem to have less issues with them. I've really got to push it to get to 70. You may also find the humidity will be more stable and closer to70% when you load the humidor with cigars.

I also have had better results with my smokes at 60-65 than I did when I kept it closer to 70. You'll probably be fine where you are imo.
