Thread: need help stabilizing the humidity

  1. Default need help stabilizing the humidity

I received a humidor with a mechanical hydrometer for my birthday last October, I had seasoned it 3 times to get it to stabilize at what I thought was 70, then about a week ago I noticed my cigars were drying out. so I picked up a digital hydrometer and found out my mechanical hydrometer was inaccurate. I recharge my humidifier and added a water pillow and now my Digital is reading 73 and my cigars are recovering nicely. I feel that 73 is too high. How do I get it back down to 70?

Open the lid for a few min and let it dry out some.
