When is the service being held?
Wow. Just wow.
....I'd say they'll be lucky to get out of the factory unscathed. The bungle came during a routine cleaning operation in the early hours of Tuesday at the whisky plant which employs 600 workers. The insider went on: “It happened on a night-shift washout — that’s when the equipment is cleaned for a changeover between different products. Instead of draining the water and cleaning solution, they flushed out all the whisky. What’s even more shocking is no one noticed until 11am.”
He said bosses were “livid”, adding: “The guys responsible will be lucky to keep their jobs.” A spokesman for Chivas Brothers — makers of Ballantines, the world’s second biggest selling Scotch — said a probe is under way.

That never would have happened in a Johnnie Walker plant.
Looks like Diageo probably won't be interested in buying Pernod Richard.

They already own Beam brands (Knob Creek, Makers mark, Canadien Club, Hornitos, Cruzan, DeKuyper, booker's, Old Grandad, Old Crow, Ardmore, Effen Vodka, Pucker, Ronrico, Leroux, and Gilbry's Gin).
...and like that's not enough - they also own Moen Faucets, Aristokraft Cabinets, Schrock and American Lock. Looks like they sold off some businesses because they also used to own Titlest and pinnacle, acco brands, Master Lock,
I often did security for their annual stockholder meeting "back in the day". Easiest money I ever earned...![]()

Wow, I didn't realize that were that big.
Diageo is the biggest booze company in the world. They're based in London and their North American headquarters are in Norwalk, CT. Look at the fine print at the bottom of many bottles of your favorite spirits and odds are it will say "Imported by Diageo of North America, Norwalk, CT." Pernod Richard is pretty big too, they're based in Paris.
I suppose I should be so hard on Pernod Richard, accidents do happen........
I just know a lot about Diageo and have a great deal of admiration and respect for them.Working in the liquor industry sure seems a whole lot more exciting than the aerospace industry, that's for sure. If I only knew then what I know now, LOL!
